Dr Wesam Amer delivered a keynote address at the American University in Cairo examining war and media disinformation campaigns during the Israeli war on Gaza since October 7th.
The lecture analysed how competing narratives, platform dynamics and information operations shape public understanding of the conflict, and what this means for journalists and audiences.
The session closed with a discussion on media literacy and the responsibilities of communicators reporting from and about conflict zones.
